Michael Scott Crawford, age 49, passed away quietly in his sleep Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home in Sulphur Springs, Indiana. Scott was born March 26, 1973 to parents Danny and Barbara S. (Ramsey) Crawford at the Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.
Born and raised within the city limits, Scott would go on to graduate from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1991. Then on May 2, 2005 he fathered a son, Myles Turner Crawford, with Jenny Turner-Crawford. Scott will forever be remembered for his big heart but he also had a sharp sense of humor. Scott was also a connoisseur of many forms of music but Heavy Metal and Hard Rock were generally his first picks. Anyone that knew him could easily pick up on the fact that Ozzy Osbourne was his favorite and following closely behind were classic KISS, Pantera and Slayer. Scott’s other Pop culture obsession involved movies, with Horror films being his primary focus though, a romantic comedy was not at all out of the question. In life Scott never met a stranger and he always said that he took after his mother.
Scott is survived by his two siblings, Sindy Corbit of Homassa, Florida and Mike Lee of Bradenton, Florida; his teenage son, Myles Crawford of New Castle; godson, Charles Irelan; and brothers from other mother’s, Rick Koger, Paul Groce, Mike (Tina) Haddin and Chris (Julie) Curry.
Per Michael’s request there will be no public services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Michael at
