Michael Allen Evans, 65, of Knightstown passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 5, 1959 in Rushville the son of Ramona Webber.
Michael attended Rushville High School and served 3 years in the U.S. Army in Colorado Springs, CO. He was a simple man and loved his kids and grandkids. He greatly enjoyed coaching Knightstown Youth Optimist Leagues including softball, basketball and soccer. Michael was a long time employee of Erwin Excavating, a family business. He also worked for Miller Pipe Line for 10 years in Cincinnati and ran his own construction company for over 20 years. Michael was quick witted, enjoyed fishing, drinking, visiting with friends, watching NASCAR and sitting on his porch.
He is survived by his mother, Ramona Webber; son, Bradley Elliott; daughter, Michelle (Brandon) Burk; grandchildren, Kyler, Brandon Jr. and Maci Burk; sister, Tina Outt; brother, Bobby (Brenda) Eoff; niece, Allison Cart; nephew, Tyler (Melissa) Outt; niece, Breanna Eoff; nephew, Bryce Eoff; four great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Dan Webber; uncles, Don Erwin, Mike Erwin and Jimmy Erwin; brother-in-law, Tom Schaffer; grandparents, Ruth and Wiley Erwin.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Steve Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Evans Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 7355 S State Road 109, Knightstown, IN 46148.
