Michael Jarrett

Michael Dan Jarrett, age 59, of New Castle passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 30, 1949 in New Castle, Indiana to Paul and Adrienne (Hamm) Jarrett.

He was a 1969 graduate of Knightstown High School and retired from Chrysler Corporation in New Castle after over 30 years of service of employment. He was a member of Whittier Lane Baptist Church in New Castle and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Greensboro.

Survivors include a son: Todd Jarrett of Greenfield (companion: Jenny Hooker) a sister: Laura (husband: Tony) Martin of Greenfield; a grandson: Tyler Jarrett of New Castle; one niece: Abigail Martin of Greenfield; a nephew: Adam (wife: Amy) Martin; great nephews: Kalob and Maddox Martin of Greenfield; uncle: Phillip Hamm of Knightstown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Tadd Jarrett; a brother: John Jarrett.

Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Whittier Lane Baptist Church in New Castle with Pastor Frank Wood officiating. Burial will be in Harlan Cemetery north of Cadiz at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the church.
