Micheal P. “Big Mike†Losey, age 34, of Mooreland, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 10, 2010 due to injuries sustained from an ATV accident. He was born April 29, 1976 in New Castle, Indiana to Leonard and Delanna (Thompson) Losey, Jr.
He attended Blue River Schools and had been employed at Don and Joe’s Automotive for the past 16 years. He attended Blountsville Church of the Nazarene for many years. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed riding ATV’s, gun collecting and taking his car to the drag strip. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was known as a common prankster.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, whom he married May 6, 1994, Jackie Losey of Mooreland; a daughter, Brittany Losey; a son, Micheal P. Losey, Jr. both of Mooreland; three sisters, Sherry Losey of New Castle, Kathy (husband, Josh) Clouse of Muncie, and Carolyn Losey of New Castle; a brother, Jerry (wife, Heather) Losey of Redkey; father-in-law, Richard Sizemore of Blountsville, mother-in-law, Beulah (husband, Don) Ditton of Warsaw; sister-in-law, Rachel (husband, Trey) Fields of Blountsville, his father Leonard Losey, Jr. (girlfriend, Cindy Lindsey) of Millville and his mother, Delanna Thompson of Albany; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; two special friends, Jerry Clapp and Chris Wisehart.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Kate Losey; maternal grandparents, Harry Thompson and Judy Arnold; two uncles, Timmy Thompson, Junior Thompson; two aunts, Linda Delk and Jearldine Lowder; cousin, Whitney Thompson.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Micheal P. “Mike†Losey Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S.
