Daddy” Michael (Mickey) Dean Stanly, 70, of New Castle, entered his heavenly home, July 8, 2016, after a battle with cancer. He was born July 2, 1946, in New Castle, IN a son of the late Lonnie Lee and Beulah (Smith) Stanley.
He was a 1965 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He served in the United States Army as a Specialist Four E-4 in Vietnam, where he received the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He retired from Coca- Cola, Anderson Plant, after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, auto mechanics, watching TV, talking, and spending time with his grandson. He never met a stranger and had words of wisdom for all.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 40 years, Jo Ann (Cash) Stanley of New Castle; daughter, Dori Stanley Keller (Charles) of New Castle; grandson, Kypton Zayne Keller; two brothers Lonnie (Connie) Stanley of North Vernon, Dan (Cari) Stanley of Mt. Summit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Ryan Michael Stanley; brother, David Stanley; sister, Peggy Cross; step-dad, Jim Walker

Join us for his celebration of life service Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with military rites conducted by the U.S. Army and American Legion/VFW. Friends may visit from 1:00-4:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday. Casual Dress is welcomed. Final resting place is at Mt. Summit Cemetery.
