Michael T. Turpen, 44, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 15, 2010 in Montpelier, IN. He was born February 8, 1966 in Henry County, IN, the son of Thomas and Marsha (Mendenhall) Turpen.
He was a 1985 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and studied bowling at Vincennes University. He was on the Vincennes Bowling Team and graduated with an Associates Degree in Bowling Lanes Management in 1987. He bowled in a Professional Circuit in Baltimore. He worked for Brunswick Corporation on the east coast. He also had worked at Speedway and Pool Cover Specialists both in Knightstown.
He is survived by his mother: Marsha Turpen of Knightstown; a sister: Lora (husband: Jeff) Knipp of Lynn; special friend: Ginger Baker of Montepelier, IN; a daughter: Lani Turpen of Baltimore, MD; three nieces: Ashley White, Jamie and Meredith Knipp; four great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father: Thomas Turpen.
Services are private and burial will be in Green Hills Memory Gardens. For those who knew and loved Michael, please celebrate his memory by reaching out to others in love.
