Millard H. Beavers Jr.

Millard H. Beavers Jr., age 84, of Kennard, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at his home. He was born July 27, 1929 in Prairie Township, Indiana to the late Millard H. and Doris (Harter) Beavers, Jr.

He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1980 following 35 years of service. He had also been employed at Cronks Liqui-Gro for many years. Millard was a past member of Kennard Lions Club. He was an avid Indiana Pacers fan and enjoyed camping, traveling and woodworking. He was a coin and die cast tractor collector.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons: Steve (Nancy) Beavers of New Castle, John (Marcia) Beavers of Charlottesville and David (Becky) Beavers of Knightstown; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Rita Beavers of Spiceland, Norma Beavers of Marion; brother-in-law, Martin Thomas of Cadiz; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Margaret Beavers, March 8, 2013; son, Tom Beavers; two brothers, John and Donald Beavers; sister, Sharon "Sudy" Thomas.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Donnie Pyle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
