Milton Ray Finch, 82, of, Greenfield, passed away September 14, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 21, 1930 in Oxford, OH a son of Raymond and Blanche (Beard) Finch.
Milton moved from Oxford, OH to Richmond, IN and lived there most of his youth. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He moved to California in 1952 and resided there for 61 years. He retired from the City of Monte Clair where he worked in the Maintenance Division. He was a member of Sun City Lawn Bowling Club.
He is survived by sisters-in-law: Josephine Buckley of Knightstown, Janet Buckley of Connersville; brothers-in-law: Kenneth (wife, Sue) Buckley of rural Knightstown, Wendell (wife, Lolita) Buckley of Pendleton, Clyde (wife, Patty) Buckley of Knightstown; nieces: Juanita Ford, Rachel Woods, Ester Kisterson; nephews: Joseph Darrah, Paul, Melvin and Danny Brosey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Buckley Finch; three sisters and one brother.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of service. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 152 and an active contingent of the U.S. Navy. Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
