Nancy Lee (Stoots) Pasman

Nancy Lee Pasman (Stoots), 87, of New Castle passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024, surrounded by family.  Nancy grew up in New Castle, a town she loved, and where she raised her family.  She retired as a school secretary from Wilbur Wright Elementary. Previously, she was the director of the Women’s Health Club at the YMCA on Church Street. She was an early advocate of women’s health and fitness, participating in several marathons.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Stoots, her mother, Edythe Stoots, and her brother Jerry (Butch) Stoots (Susan).  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James (Jake) Pasman, daughter, Christy Osborne (Charlie), son Kevin Pasman (Christie), grandchildren Stacie Takahashi (George) and Corey Pasman (Adrienne), Patrick Dalton (Olivia) and Katie and Aria Dalton.  She is also survived by her brother Larry (Chick) Stoots (Kathy), sister Cathy Davenport, and brother Marvin (Dale) Stoots.  In addition, she was a wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  She was loved and will be missed by many.

A public visitation will be held at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A church service will be held at the First Baptist Church on April 10 at 11:00 a.m. Please come and worship and celebrate the life of Nancy.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed to Fortune Fund, 2200 Forest Ridge Pkwy, Suite 120 New Castle, IN 47362 in memory of Nancy Pasman.   The Fortune Fund helps cancer patients in Henry County.
