Nerva L. Young, age 88, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011at Stonebrooke of New Castle. She was born December 2, 1922 in Tazville, Tennessee to the late Isaac Henry and Hattie (Davis) Young.
She retired from RCA in Indianapolis, and had also worked at Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors Home. She was a caregiver for her sister for many years.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dephsa Southwood and Nell Young; four brothers, Charles, Will, John and James Young.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in New Lisbon cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
