Norma Ruth Donahue, age 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Reid Memorial Hospital. She was born near Indianapolis, IN on August 13, 1931.
Norma worked for many years in her late husband’s medical office. She was a devoted member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She took great pleasure in serving on the board of the YMCA in New Castle. As a former cancer survivor, Norma was dedicated to donating blood to help others. She had also worked as a volunteer for Henry County Hospital. She loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ron) Moses of Eldorado, OH; sons, Sean of New Castle, IN and Frank (Karamina) of Eldorado, OH; grandchildren, Jessica (John) Burton, Molly (Brett) Davenport, Abbe (Joe) Pflum, Rebecca (Kevin) Wolf, Justin and Mark Moses, Kegan, Ryan, and Haley Donahue; great grandchildren, Logan, Elijah, Alexis, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Axle, Lacey, Treyson, Micah, Taylar and Graham.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Ozment; father, Robert Moore; step-father, Glenn Ozment; husband, Francis E. Donahue, MD, whom she married on August 11, 1951; son, Dion; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Cedric Moses.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, IN.
