The angels are rejoicing in Heaven today because Oda Razor has gone home to be with the Lord! She celebrated her 99th birthday on October 18th. Born in Salt Lick, Kentucky in 1918, Oda was one of 11 children born to Willie and Mollie (Evans) Petitt.
A long time member of South Memorial Drive Church of God, she loved to read her Bible and enjoyed reading Christian fiction books. She was an avid gardener until age 95, and her specialty was raising tomatoes. Oda’s greatest joy was when her entire family gathered to visit.
She is survived by her sons, William (Louise) Razor of West Chester, OH, and Gary (Sue) Razor of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Tanya Hartman of West Chester, OH, Connie Razor of Cincinnati, Brian (Amy) Razor of Galloway, OH, Tamala (Robert) Wagner of New Castle, and Bill (Kerry) Razor of Dublin, OH; great grandchildren; Kasi Butler of New Castle, Jacob Hartman of Marion, OH, Anna Hartman of Cincinnati, OH, Tori Butler of New Castle, Evan Razor of London, OH, Hali Wagner of Alexandria, KY, Alec Logan of Galloway, OH, Katie Razor of Dublin, OH, Ethan Razor of Galloway, OH, and Joshua Razor of Dublin, OH; one great-great grandchild, Madilynn Butler of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ray Razor in 1994; ten siblings, Wales Petitt, Zona Jennings, Alma Colllins, Mitchell Petitt, Harlan Petitt, Ethel Hall, Zora Petitt, Arthur Petitt, Odessa Gabbard, and Millard Petitt.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at South Memorial Drive Church of God with Pastor Chris Gammello officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Paul Kirk officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the church.
