Olivia "Libby" Noble

Olivia "Libby" Noble, 91, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2014, following a brief illness. She was born September 18, 1922 in West Liberty, WV, a daughter of the late Claude and Margaret (Montgomery) Ray.

Libby was a 1940 graduate of West Liberty High School in West Liberty, WV. She had been a kindergarten teacher's aide at Weir Elementary School in New Castle. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Castle for over 50 years, Libby volunteered at the Basketball Hall of Fame. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and eating out with her friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Robert "Bob" (Missy) Noble of Cincinnati, OH, and William "Bill" (Debbie) Noble of Beavercreek, OH; five grandchildren, Robert W. "Bobby" Noble, Keri Lynn Noble, and Nick Noble, all of Cincinnati, Natalie (Greg) Tyree of Xenia, OH, and Ray Noble of Beavercreek, OH; one great grandson, Lafe Tyree. Also, a sister, Lillian Mellott of New Castle; several nieces and nephews including, Forrest (Judy) Mellott of Greenwood, and Claudia (Vick) Koerner of Indianapolis; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Spike.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. "Bob" Noble; one brother and three sisters.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Pastor Roby Wood officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1336 "J" Ave., New Castle, IN 47362.
