Oradean Lee

Oradean Lee, 92, a resident of Knightstown passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was born April 17, 1932 in Byrdstown, Tennessee to the late John Wright and Ora Hazel (Craig) Mansfield.

 Oradean was a faithful member of the South Side Church of Christ in New Castle where she was involved in the Ladies’ Bible Study. An avid reader, she read the Bible through eleven times and was working on the twelfth. She was an active member of the Greenfield Farmers Market and spent numerous hours in her vegetable garden. Oradean was a wonderful cook and enjoyed planting flowers. She especially loved visiting family in Tennessee. She also quilted in her younger years and was featured in the Courier-Times with her quilts.

 Survivors include a daughter: Jo Ann Lee of Knightstown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends: Don and Sharon Harsh.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis “Reed” Lee and a brother: Thomas.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pat McDaniel and Don Harsh officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7 at the funeral home.
