Pamela Gail "Pam" Atkinson

Pamela Gail “Pam” Atkinson, age 59, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 21, 1954 in New Castle, Indiana to Leland T. and Mary E. (Stinson) Atkinson.

A 1973 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, she retired form the State of Indiana where she was employed as a clerk for the FSSA in Indianapolis. Pam was a member of Four Square Gospel Church where she taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery for 30 years and also sang in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, Colts football and Trojan basketball. She also loved traveling with her cousins.

Survivors include her parents, Leland and Mary Atkinson of New Castle; sister, Donna (Mike) McLaughlin of Muncie; brother, Bruce (Kim) Atkinson of New Castle; many cousins including, Donna Fulton, Kaye Smiley, Jackie Greene and Tammy Werking; and a host of friends.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle with Reverends Jim Becker and Shelly Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and one hour prior to the service at the church.
