Pamela Ann Hoots Cooley

Pamela Ann Hoots Cooley, 59 of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1956 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Alvis and Lottie (Long) Hoots.

Pamela was a 1975 graduate of Chrysler High School and also a graduate of Indiana Business College with an Associates Degree. She worked at New Castle State Hospital, Americare (now Stonebrooke), and Cardinal Health Care Services as a caregiver. Pamela enjoyed spending time with her family, especially taking care of her granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband; Corey D. Cooley of Anderson; two children; Amber Caywood (fiancé: David Trammell) and Ray (Kim) Caywood, both of New Castle; one granddaughter, Shanelle “LeLe” Davis of New Castle; four aunts, Carla Hoots of New Castle, Colleen Wallace of Spiceland, Mary Hoots of New Castle and Wanda Taylor of Louisville; mother-in-law; Mildred Brown; several cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amari Caywood ; her father-in-law: Aaron Cooley Sr.; and several uncles.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Bethany Tabernacle with Pastor Juanita Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
