Pat Abston

Pat Wine-Nicholson-Heath-Abston, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at The
Waters in New Castle. She was born April 11, 1932 in Muncie.

Pat graduated from Losantville High School in 1950 and moved to New Castle in 2002. She owned her own upholstery shop for 22 years in her home. She had also been employed at Indiana Bell in Muncie and Perfect Circle in Hagerstown. Pat was a member of Chicago Corner Christian Church and was a long-time member of the Antioch Christian Church in Losantville.

She is survived by her husband, John Abston; a son, Brian (Donna) Wine of Sulphur Springs; two granddaughters, Latisha Smith of Three Rivers, MI and Leah Wine of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by first husband of 52 years, Eldo Wine, a daughter, Laura June Wine who died at 16 years old.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Chicago Corner Christian Church with Pastors Roger Hendricks and Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Losantville. Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Chicago Corner Christian Church, 8405 E State Road 38, New Castle, IN 47362. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
