Patricia A. Bertram, 84, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born March 2, 1932 in New Castle to the late Kenneth Ammerman and Harriet (Brown) Browning.
Patricia retired as a postmaster from Modoc, IN. She was an avid bowler, and was a member Muncie Bowlers Hall of fame. She also raised quarter horses. Patricia enjoyed playing card and board games.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Larry) Swearingen of Muncie, Gloria (Steve) Rader of Farmland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Dona Adams of Mayville, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Wally in 2014; son, Rick Bertram; sister, Joyce Myers; and a brother, Leon Ammerman.
A private graveside services will be held at a later date at Riverview Cemetery, Losantville. There will be no public viewing hours. Memorial contributions can be made to National Parkinson’s Association, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
