Patricia “Lavon” Stevens, 78, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born November 21, 1936 in Carthage the daughter of Russell and Ollie Cleo (Rayburn) Logan.
Lavon retired from Sugar Creek Convalescent Center near Cumberland where she worked as a cook. She enjoyed gardening, playing BINGO, flowers, shopping and cooking. Lavon had a great love for her husband and family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bob Stevens of Knightstown; two daughters, Joan Stevens of Somerset, KY and Pam (Brian) Shores of Anderson; a son, Robert Leon Stevens of Riverview, FL; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Clayton Logan of Carthage; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Stevens; daughter, Suzanne Tamara Stevens; granddaughter, Amanda Stevens.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday. Condolences and memories of Lavon may be shared at
