Patricia Nicholas

Patricia Nicholas, 81, of Knightstown, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Greenfield Healthcare Center. She was born February 27, 1939 in Knightstown.

Patricia was a 1957 graduate of Knightstown High School. She spent one year at Ball State University before getting married and starting her family. Pat was blessed with four children whom she loved more than herself. She worked various secretarial positions including Scott County Schools in Davenport, Iowa, The Banner in Knightstown, Youth for Christ in Indianapolis and retiring from The Department of Defense at Fort Benjamin Harrison.

She is survived by her four children, Jeff (Lisa) Nicholas of Sarasota, Florida, Todd (Carey) Nicholas of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, Karen (Gale) Boatright-Scherz of Indianapolis, IN and John (Kerry) Nicholas of Fulshear, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings Judy (Robert) Stephens, Mary Jo (Dan) Purtee and C. Robert (Patsy) Sorrell. Pat has eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, William Sorrell and her mother Julia (Risk) Sorrell.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Alan McCraine officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19 from 4-8 PM. Please be prepared to wait as we are limited to only 25 guests in attendance at a time.
