Patricia “Pat” Ann Brown, 90, of Greenfield, passed from this life to meet her Heavenly reward on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born February 6, 1935, in Cambridge City, IN, a daughter of the late Norman and Alice (Johnson) Longnecker.
A young military wife, Pat enjoyed being a homemaker. She served as Pastor’s wife for over 44 years, as her husband, Bishop Kenneth Brown, pastored the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Greenfield. She also served beside her husband as he served as the General Superintendent of the United Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ Organization.
Pat came from a large family and was always interested in each family member’s well-being. As the “family historian”, she was always well informed and aware of details of the family-tree. In her later years, she earned an associate’s degree in theology from Calvary Midwest Bible College, an accomplishment to be noted.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Frank (Sharon) Brown of New Castle, Pamela (Daniel) Cramer of Greenfield, and Kimberly (Pastor Joseph) Riggs of Greenfield; grandchildren, Tina (Sean) Silvers of New Castle, Tim (Jared) Brown of Brownsburg, Jennifer (Derek) Roberts of Greenfield, Richard (Misako) Binford, Dawn (Ryan) Simpson, Mary (Cody) Kline of Greenfield, Philip (Kelly) Cramer of Indianapolis, Lois (Billy) McDougall of North Little Rock, AR, Rachel (Joshua) Smith of Brownsville, PA, Benjamin (Genelle) Cramer of Brownstown, Brittany (Ian) Devalal of Biloxi, MS, Kayla (Nathan) Turner of Greenfield, Marissa (Wilson) Honeycutt of Greenfield; 32 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Joslin of New Castle and Katherine Arnold of Peru, IN; a brother, Jerry (Pam) Longnecker of Modoc; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Kenneth Brown; a daughter in law, Wanda Brown; three sisters, Norma Moistner, Wilma Baker, and Elizabeth Vickers; a brother, Marvin Longnecker.
Homegoing services for Sis. Pat Brown will be at 7 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Greenfield with Pastor Joseph Riggs officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday at the church prior to the service. Burial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be given to the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E. Fifth Street, Greenfield, IN, 46140. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
