Patrick McCleese

Patrick McCleese, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Letcher County, KY on August 30, 1935, a son of Herman F. and Esta Marie (Gilliam) McCleese.

Pat graduated from Knightstown High School and served in the US Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis and was a member of the UAW Local 1111. Pat was a member of the Shadeland Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #16 of Knightstown. He enjoyed and cherished his family and was an avid traveler.

Pat is survived by his wife: Esther McCleese; children: Patricia Gayle McCleese-Rivers of Knightstown, Jesse (wife, Sandy) McCleese of Rush County, Beth Ann McCleese of Noblesville; 5 step daughters: Susan Stadler (husband, Rick) Drew of East Hampton, NY, Joni Stadler (husband, Kevin) Downs of Indianapolis, Deanna (husband, Artist) Stadler of Los Angeles, Julie Smith of Indianapolis and Cindy (husband, John) Boncreger of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife: Wanda Dee Addison-McCleese; 2nd wife: Mary Lou Smith-McCleese and several brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Ronnie West and Pastor Larry Hurd officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 AM til 12:00 noon prior to the service. A memorial may be made in Pat’s memory to Hancock Regional Hospice Foundation 801 N.
