Paul Douglas "Doug" Ramsey

Paul Douglas "Doug" Ramsey, age 72, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 peacefully at his home. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 6, 1952 to Paul "Leon" and Patricia R. (Breece) Ramsey.  

After completing high school Doug proudly served our country in the United States Air Force as Airman First Class (AIC) during the Vietnam War. When he retired from the military he was honored with the National Defense Medal. 

For many years Doug worked diligently in the stock personnel department at Walmart. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post, and a past Hancock County Veterans Honor Guard member. Doug was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. 

He is survived by his son, Michael Jones of Indiana; daughter, Stacy (Casey Waste) Ramsey of California; brother, Steve (Pamela) Ramsey of Greenfield, Indiana; sister, Teresa (Terry) Figueira of Muskegon, Michigan; and grandchildren, Ronald, Casey Jr., Maddy, Andrew, Alister, and Adrian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Patricia Ramsey; and sister, Susan Goodnough.
