Peggy Ann (Winchester) Roseberry, 83, went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Community Hospital Anderson, with her children by her side. She was born January 16, 1941 to Robert and Lucille Winchester.
Peggy was a 1959 graduate of Knightstown High School and a 1969 Graduate of Apex Beauty School. She married Wilford “Ray” Roseberry May 12, 1961 and together they raised three children. Peggy went to work at Mar Lee Beauty Salon in 1969 and purchased the shop in August of 1979. She passionately provided top notch services to her clients until she retired.
Peggy was a loving wife, Mom, Grandma, Great- Grandma, sister, and friend. It was often said that you have not been hugged until you got a “Peggy hug”. She attended and was a faithful servant of Faith Chapel Baptist Church, Knightstown. She loved to craft and was well known for her jewelry, sewn items and her knitted dishcloths.
Peggy is survived by her three children, Kelli Roseberry of Alexandria, Michele (Jerry) Gaw of Noblesville, and Wilford Ray Roseberry Jr. ‘Chip’ of Anderson; five grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha) Gaw of Whitestown; Braden Morphew of Alexandria; Zachary (Angela) Morphew of Brownsburg; Conner Gaw of Noblesville; and Carson Gaw of Noblesville, six great grandchildren, Camden, Aliyah, Beckett Morphew and Everett, Isabelle, Henry Ray Gaw; three sisters, Roberta Lay, Wanda Keith, and Lisa Byers; two brothers Dale Winchester and Michael Howard, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in laws and
cousins.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Wilford ‘Ray’ Roseberry, great grandson, Braylon Morphew, her father Robert Winchester, mother Lucille Howard, step-father Charles Howard, sister, Jena Howard, niece Nicole Brammer and several in laws.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Eric Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:30 – 7:30 PM and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Community Hospital Anderson for the exemplary care they provided while allowing Peggy to peacefully transition to her heavenly home.
