Perry Gorman

December 15, 1956 — April 27, 2009

Perry Gorman, 52, of Wilkinson went to be with the Lord Monday, April 27, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born December 15, 1956 in Rushville the son of Arnold and Emily "Boots" (Morgan) Gorman.

Perry was employed with United Telephone (now Embarq) for 33 years. An outdoors man, he was an avid fisherman, loved hunting and was a beekeeper known as the "Bee Man Perry Honey". He enjoyed working and loved working on trucks. He was kind hearted and would do anything for anyone. A family man, he loved his family very much and was one of the best brothers ever. Perry was also a member of the First Christian Church of Knightstown.

Perry is survived by his mother: Emily "Boots" Gorman of Knightstown; two sons: Jacob (companion: Brooke Archambault) Gorman of Wilkinson; Austin Gorman of Knightstown; a brother: Jerry Gorman of Greenfield; a sister: Patty Paul of Knightstown; nephews: Jeremy Gorman of Wilkinson; Dustin Gorman of Knightstown; Matthew May of Knightstown; Joseph May of Shelbyville; step-nephew: Ethan Paul of Carthage; two great nieces: Jasmine May of Shelbyville and Julianna May of Shelbyville; one great nephew: Jordan May of Shelbyville; several aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son: James Anthony Gorman; a sister: Deborah Lynette Gorman; maternal grandparents: Frazier and Maude Morgan; paternal grandparents: James and Margaret “Maggie” Gorman.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2009 Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Richard Thayer officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday, April 30.
