Perry Richardson

April 24, 1942 — October 29, 2009

Perry H. Richardson, age 67, of New Castle passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 at his residence following his courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 24, 1942 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Walter B. and Dora Lee (Stockton) Richardson.

Perry had worked at different grocery stores in the area including Miller’s IGA, Rihm’s Grocery Store in Cambridge City, Harvest Market and was owner of Perry’s Vending. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. Perry especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in New Castle.

Survivors include his children: Melinda (husband: Jim) Davis of Mooreland, Annette Wolf of New Castle (fiance: Brian Cameron), Glenna (husband: Ron) Frantz of Muncie, companion: Janet Driskill of New Castle; sisters: Wilma Renita Lindsey of Brazil, IN, Arnell Goodwin of New Castle; brother: George Wendell Richardson (wife: Sara) of Byrdstown, TN; five grandchildren: Tabatha (husband: Jason) Waswick of Lewisville, Madison Qualkenbush of New Castle, Zachary Wolf of New Castle, Tanner Davis of Mooreland and Colton Frantz of Muncie; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Norma Richardson in 2004; three brothers: Earl D. Richardson, James B. Richardson and Bazle Richardson; a sister: Elizabeth Richardson.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bill Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
