Phillip Stanley Sharp

Phillip Stanley Sharp, 68, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Rosebud Village in Richmond. He was born May 2, 1956 in De Queen, Arkansas to the late John Wesley and Flora Dell (Tucker) Sharp.

Stan worked for many years at Hartley Truck Parts as a mechanic. Being a mechanic, he also had great enjoyment of classic cars. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and attending races at Mt. Lawn and Anderson Speedways. Stan never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone. He was a devoted husband and father and always made sure his family had anything they needed. Stan married the love of his life, Brenda Shelley, on August 24, 1982 and they had many wonderful years together.

He is survived by his children, Amy Beall (Duane Albert Jr.) and Stan Sharp; siblings, Trish, Johnny and Billy Sharp and many close friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda A. Sharp on February 8, 2022 and a sister, Marge.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Southern Care Hospice and the Rosebud Village, especially the Cottage staff and nurses.
