Phyllis Gay (Parrish) Wilhelm, age 75, of New Castle, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born July 9, 1936 in West Virginia to the late Bill and Mayme (Norris) Parrish.
She was a 1954 Graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and worked at Brooks Foods following graduation. She enjoyed bingo and going out to eat once a month with her graduating class of Sulphur Springs. She also enjoyed family gatherings and music.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Emory “Lee” Wilhelm of New Castle; a daughter, Rhonda (husband, Butch) Ballenger of New Castle; a son, Scott (wife, Rachel) Wilhelm of MO; three granddaughters, Brittany Ballenger of New Castle, Mattison and Morgan Wilhelm of MO; two grandsons; Dustin Ballenger of New Castle and Brandon Wilhelm of MO; six sisters; Pauline (husband, Jim) Bell of New Castle, Janice Halphin of New Castle, Wanda West of Losantville, Lois (husband, Bill) Archey of New Castle, Sue (husband, Porter) Coffey of New Castle and Darlene Parrish of New Castle; two brothers, Cletis (wife, Sandy) Parrish of FL and David Parrish of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Bret Rains officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery.
