Prentice Dale Moore

Prentice Dale Moore, 65, of Hagerstown went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born January 20, 1960 in Richmond, Indiana to Robert and Virginia (Mullins) Moore.

Prentice was the life of the party; always joking, laughing and making others laugh with his sense of humor, jokes, wigs and “crazy teeth”. He was a handyman and could fix anything and loved helping others. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing but more than anything, spending time with his son, Timothy. He was a semi driver for over twenty years. Prentice was a faithful member of The Sanctuary of New Castle.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rachel Moore; his son, Timothy Moore; mother, Virginia Moore; siblings, Robert (Sherry) Moore, John (Kimberly) Moore, Tony (Dusty) Moore and Jeff Moore; brother-in-law, Steve Morris and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Moore and a sister, Roberta Morris.

The family would like to thank Henry County Hospice and his caretakers, Nikki Daffron, Mary Maze and Destiny Johnson.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at The Sanctuary of New Castle, 2208 Broad Street New Castle, IN 47362 with Pastor Jeff Jaco officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
