Ralph Paul Jones, 68 of Knightstown passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from a brief battle with cancer. He was born on January 17, 1955, in Monticello Kentucky to the late Lee Jones and Doris (Kelly) Lowe.
Ralph was a 1974 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and a veteran of the US Army. On September 4, 2002, he married the love of his life, Dana Pitts Jones, and they had been married for 22 years. Ralph was a fun-loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend to so many. During his life, he worked at Trojan Drive In, Chrysler, Loveless Heating and Cooling, Pickering Farm, Hills, and Walmart.
When Ralph was not working, he always playing ball somewhere depending on the season with friends at the Salvation Army or wherever he could find a game to play. Ralph loved to watch NASCAR while Earnhardt was racing. Ralph was always looking for NASCAR cars, hot wheels, and M&M's. Once he retired, he took on all the duties of the house, yard and garden. Ralph, to many of all, had to have a clean house and yard. His loves were flowers and Hummingbirds. Ralph loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids and dogs. Ralph loved to take short trips to Michigan and Tennessee with a stop in Monticello for a Pool Room Hamburger.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dana (Pitts) Jones, daughters, Amanda (Richard Mead) Jones & Tyler, Amber (Josh) Long; stepdaughter, Angel (Larry) Storms; granddaughter, Aniah Petty; grandson, Johnathan Long; step-brother, Prent (Vickie) Lowe & family; father-in-law, Harold Pitts; sisters-in-law, Debi (Dan) Ware & families; Jan (Jerry) Nicholas & families; cousins Charlene Raynes & families, Darlene Anderson & families, Portia (Tommy) Maybier & families, Pam (Darren) Barnett & families, Dan (Connie) Roberts & families; and many close friends, Jason Davis, Daniel Nold, Stand & Joe Briner, Joe Petty and many, many more.
In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his aunts, Margert (Jess) Roberts & Dorothy Bertram; uncles, Elvy Kelly & Edwin Bell and mother-in-law, Carolyn Pitts.
Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
