Ramona Wilson

Ramona E. Wilson, age 93, of Mooreland, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Heritage House in New Castle. She was born March 6, 1916 in Mooreland, Indiana to the late Elmer and Venus (Walter) Waltz.

She retired from Dana Corporation in Hagerstown in 1979 after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Mooreland Friends Meeting and the United Society of Friends Women. She had also been the church organist, and elder and a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Survivors include a daughter: Mary Ann (husband: Jack) Halstead of Mooreland; a son: John E. (Terry) Williams of Mooreland; five grandchildren: Richard (wife: Jenny) Williams, Leanna Thompson, Chris (wife: Karla) Halstead, Ross (wife: Judy) Halstead, and Bill (wife: Lisa) Halstead all of Mooreland; one great grandson; two great granddaughters; several step great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Robert Williams and Ralph Wilson and a sister: Nondis Shaffer.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Mooreland Friends Meeting with Peggy Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
