Randall “Randy” Muncy, 68, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Henry Community Health after a long battle with a bad heart. He was born on September 28, 1948 in Henry County to the late TJ and Mabel (Best) Muncy.
We who are left here can rest with the hope we will meet again with Jesus in Heaven as we carry on here. Randy was a Vietnam Vet and was proud of his time he served our country. He came away from Vietnam safe and was a wild and crazy guy for a time, but as time passes, as with a lot of us, he came to know the Lord and attended church in New Castle at the Open Arms Church when his health allowed.
He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Ann (Pratt) Muncy and her children Kim and Troy Maddy of North Port, FL; Angie Cole of New Castle and Brent Hammond of New Castle; grandchildren, Ethan and Garrett Maddy, Taylor and Tyler Hammond, Presley and Zane Cole, step-son Jamie Gentry of Lebanon, IN; brother, Dennis (Sandra) Muncy of Knightstown.
He has left behind an Aunt and Uncle Levi and Rosie Muncy of New Castle and many cousins around the area and Canada. Cousin Phil on the left coast and cousin Jim on the right coast. The Canadian cousins have been faithful to visit with him, Mike and Elaine, Chris and Virginia leading the pack of 60 or so. His old high school classmates talk to him often and cared about him, Nona, Susan, Sissy, Karen, Myra and many more. He will be missed by all.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 1:00p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Roger Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 – 1p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
