Reba F. Wallace, 86, of New Castle, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born March 6, 1923 in Lewisville the daughter of Harvey Clement and Ethel (Wiker) Petry.

She lived in Spiceland since 1949 and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dunreith. Reba was a telephone operator for Ma Bell and then went on to retire from Draper Shade in 1976 after eleven years of employment. She was also a former member of the Spiceland Order of the Eastern Star Lodge 563.

Reba leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Myla (husband: Sonny) Couch of Fishers, Sharon (husband: Charles) Brown of Spiceland; 3 brothers: Quentin (wife: Joyce) Petry of Charlottesville, Wilmer (wife: Marie) Petry of Downey, CA, Malcolm (wife: Darlene) Petry of New Castle; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a great great grand daughter; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Gilbert Wallace in 1985; her grandson: Kevin Couch in 2007; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services will be at 2PM Thursday February 18, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Chaplain Robert Schaeffer and Ron Petry officiating. Burial will follow at Glenn Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call from 4-8PM Wednesday Febraury 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Payton Manning Children’s Hospital 2001 West 86th Street Indianapolis, IN 46260 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
