Reba Ellen "Becky" Witt, 71, of New Castle, passed away November 6, 2010 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born October 9, 1939 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Carl and Lois (Baker) Wardlow.
A 1957 graduate of New Castle High School, she had worked for the U.S. Credit Bureau. A charter member of the Memorial Baptist Church in New Castle, she had served as church secretary, Sunday School teacher, and teacher at the Sonshine Preschool for several years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, card making, reading, working puzzles, sewing, and plastic canvas. Reba especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis O"™Neal Witt of New Castle; two daughters, Suellen (husband, John) Shemwell of Webster, Kentucky, Diana (husband, Chris) Radtke of New Castle; six grandchildren, Nicky, Dusty, Zach, Cori, Jake Shemwell, and Taylor Radtke; one sister, Anolie (husband, Bob) Cody of Xenia, Ohio,; three brothers, Donald (wife, Joanne) Wardlow of Glendora, California, Lowell (wife, Darlene) Wardlow of Dallas, Texas, Lawrence (wife, JoAnne) Wardlow of Manchester, Tennessee; four sisters in law, Thelma Wardlow of New Castle, Vera Wardlow of Richmond, Faye Shepherd of Greensfork, Wilma Witt of Kirksville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Earl Francis, Revilo Claude, and Chester Macy Wardlow.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Toby Smith and Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
