Rebecca A. Simpson, age 61, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Henry County Hospital. She was born January 22, 1947 in Boone County, West Virginia to Clyde and Mary M. Smith.

She had been employed at Heritage Manor and Heritage House in Shelbyville as an LPN and had also worked at New Castle Healthcare. She loved music and enjoyed oil painting.

Survivors include her husband: Robert Simpson whom she married December 8, 1966; children: Chris Marie Hammond (fiance: Kevin Greiner) of Detroit, MI, Mary (husband: Bill) McDonald of New Castle and Bryan T. Simpson of New Castle; grandchildren: Angela Marie Simpson, Jessica Ann Vasquez, Brandon M. McDonald and Brittney N. McDonald; two great grandchildren: Carlos and Adrianna Manuel.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday before the service. Online condolences may be made at www.hinsey-brown.com .
