Rebecca Prince Stevens

Rebecca Jo (Prince) Stevens, age 37, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born March 22, 1973 in New Castle, Indiana to Larry Otis and Betty (Rednour) Prince.

She was a CNA for several years at New Castle Healthcare. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved her dog, Jade.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, James Stevens of New Castle, whom she married November 12, 1992; a daughter, Taylor Stevens and a son, Brandon Stevens both at home; mother, Betty Rednour Prince of New Castle; three sisters, Tammy (Prince) (husband, Bryan) Asberry of Dadeville, Alabama, April Prince of New Castle, Tina (husband, Don) Sullivan of Kenosha Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins; a brother-in-law, Jeremy York of New Haven, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Otis Prince; maternal grandmother, Willie (Rednour) Woodson; paternal grandparents, James Otis and Pearl Catherine “Tubie” Prince.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. before the service.
