Regina Anderson, 73, of Knightstown, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 in her son’s home following a brief battle with cancer. She was born November 6, 1936 the daughter of Alonzo and Olga (McGowan) Tarter.
Regina graduated for Knightstown High School in 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Knightstown. She retired from the Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home in 2002 after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Knightstown American Legion Auxiliary for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Omer Edward (wife: Kim) Rudicil III of Knightstown; Brian Keith (wife: Brandy) Rudicil of Rushville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother: Kenneth (wife: Marla) Tarter of New Mexico.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Rex Anderson, and an infant son: Robert Lee Anderson.
Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Danny Tompkins officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
