Rev. Winn Arvid Hord peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 87. A devoted Apostolic Pentecostal minister, he committed his life to faith and service while also spending 55 years working in the plastics and steel industry. Originally from Maysville, Kentucky, Winn and his beloved wife, Dorcas, moved to Upper Sandusky, Ohio, where they faithfully planted two Apostolic Pentecostal churches in Bucyrus and Kenton. His ministry and dedication to his community touched countless lives.
Born on November 14, 1937, to Russel and Mary Lou Hord, Winn was one of 18 children. He met and married the love of his life, Dorcas Pauline Fetters, and together they raised five children. Winn was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Rev. Gregory W. Hord. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 69 years; four children, Michael W. Hord, Carolyn Hord Morgan (Robert), Arvid Dale Hord, and Brian K. Hord (Shauna); 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and dear friends who will cherish his memory. Together, we honor a life wholly dedicated to the Lord and his family. We celebrate the legacy he has left for us to follow.
