Rhonda Sue Sipe

Mt. Summit - Rhonda Sue (York) Sipe, 61, went to be with the Lord on April 29th, 2024 at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Rhonda was born September 24th, 1962 in New Castle, Indiana. She attended New Castle Chrysler High School and was a 1981 graduate. During her time there, she was a varsity cheerleader and Winter Dance Queen. Following high school, Rhonda attended Ball State University, and earned her associate degree from Ivy Tech. In 1986, Rhonda joined the United States Army Reserves. She was considered an expert shooter. She was a talented photographer and completed her degree from the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. Although she had many, Rhonda's greatest accomplishment was being a devoted mother, wife, and sister.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Randall Sipe, whom she married November 6th, 2021; daughter, Allison (Zach) Cole & granddaughter, Sophia, due in August 2024 of New Castle, IN; sisters, Tammi (JB) Nicholson and Jenni (Doug) York both of New Castle, IN; brothers, Roger (Charity) York II of Fort Worth, TX and Justin York of Pendleton, IN; step-mother, Barbara York of Indianapolis, IN; several step-children, nieces, and nephews.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Sue (Eversole) York, father, Roger York I, twin babies, Mathew and Rachel Piñon, brother, Michael York, and maternal grandmother, Mary Eversole.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 at the funeral home.
