Rick Bach

Rick Bach, age 54, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 surrounded by his family at Henry County Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. He was born February 27, 1958, in New Castle, Indiana to John and Patsy (Harlen) Bach Jr.

Rick was currently employed with Lee & Ryan Environmental in Greenfield and at one time was self-employed at JT Builders. Rick was an avid golfer and a member of the Moose Golf League. He also enjoyed playing cards, watching NASCAR and even enjoyed a few races in person. The most important part of Rick’s life was his family. He loved spending time with them and especially watching his grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his father, Rick is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Westendorf) Bach of New Castle; daughter: Renee (husband, Josh) Madden of New Castle; son: Richard D. Bach Jr. of Muncie; 3 stepchildren: Joshua (wife, Tricia) Taarud of Prior Lake, MN; Angela (husband, Thomas) Cunningham of Round Lake, MN; Amber Taarud of Worthington, MN; grandchildren: Jacob & Ally Madden, Corbyn Taarud and Baby T; sisters: Debi Wiley of New Castle; Sharon (husband, Wayne) Weddle of New Castle; sister in law: Virgie Bach of New Castle; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, daughter: Treva Bach; brother: Jerry Bach; brother in law: Stan Wiley and nephews: Jon Wiley and Caleb Bach.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, with Reverend Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Elliot Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Kids Are Golden, P.O.
