Rita June Boiles Hollars

Rita June (Boiles) Hollars, 58, of Spiceland, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her residence. She was born June 15, 1955 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Robert Boiles and Orlynn (Burton) Houser currently of Mooreland.

Rita June was a happy person with a contagious laugh. She lived for her family especially her grandchildren. She also had a nurturing spirit and enjoyed cooking and feeding family and friends. Rita June was most recently employed by Original Tractor Cab Company in Arlington. She also worked as a seamstress and in her free time enjoyed quilting and sewing. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, fishing and camping. She loved all animals especially her dog, Brandy and her cat, Memphis who passed away with her.

At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband, Eugene Hollars, who passed away Monday morning. She is survived by her children: Teresa Chesher of Spiceland, Israel (Margaret) Chesher of Spiceland, Eric (Christy) Chesher of Spiceland; father of Rita's children: Steve Chesher of Spiceland; grandchildren: Cody Chew of New Castle, Harley Chesher of Spiceland, Samantha Grunow of Greenfield, MaKenzie Chesher of Spiceland, Briana Jo Chesher of Spiceland; great grandchild: Hayden Chew of New Castle; siblings: Robin Boiles of New Castle and Rodney Boiles of Spiceland; nephews: Jesse (Kim) Boiles, Joe Boiles and John Boiles all of GA; stepchildren: Adam (Sara) Hollars of Dunreith, Danielle Stigall of New Lisbon; Cara (Robbie) Taylor of New Castle; two step grandchildren; several extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Robert Boiles; a daughter: Amy Chew; grandson: Patrick Chew; grandmothers: Thelma Burton and Eunice Boiles.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Friends may call from 11 AM until time of service.
