Robert Paul Antic

Robert Paul Antic, 93, formerly of New Castle passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Community Hospital North. He was born on June 14, 1930 in New Castle to the late George and Anna Katherine (Sirosky) Antic, Sr.

Robert served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. A Sargent, he served as a Combat Construction Specialist. Robert retired from Chrysler Corporation in New Castle in 1996 after 30 years of service. He had previously worked at General Tire Store in New Castle. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and UAW 371. Robert enjoyed fishing, piddling, painting and all sports. He loved spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 70 years, Donna Mae "Donnie" (Brown) Antic; children, Joyce (Jeff) Dickerson of Indianapolis, Lori (Tamika) Antic of Indianapolis, Krista (Brian) Curless of Spring Lake, North Carolina, Scott (Tracie) Antic of Mooresville, Larry (Brenda) Antic of Greenfield and Valerie (Ian) Good of O’ Fallen, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley, Erica, Jordan, Tyler, Ava, Micah, Adalie, Elly, Max, Lily and Makayla; great grandson, Kayson; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Joseph Antic, Elizabeth Nicholas, Julia Antic, John Antic, Margaret Antic, Thomas Antic and George Antic, Jr.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Father John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery where military honors will be performed by contingents of the U.S. Army, American Legion and the VFW.
