Robert P. Bell, 69, of Mooreland, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 3, 1942 in New Castle the son of Eullillian (Fannon) Bell and the late Hobert F. Bell.

He was a 1961 graduate of Mooreland High School. Bob retired from Chrysler in June, 2003 after 38 years of service as a furnace repairman. He was a member of the Muncie Moose Lodge and former member of the New Castle Eagles. He was affiliated with the Buck Creek Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed traveling and cruising all over the world.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Teresa (Cline) Bell, whom he married September 10, 1961; two children: Brenda (Husband: Joe) Wiley of Mooreland; Richard (wife: Jackie) Bell of Mooreland; 4 grandchildren: Jacob (wife: Ciara) Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC; Amy Johnson of Indianapolis; Meghan (husband: Todd) Johnson of Mooreland; Melissa Bell (fiance: Therrun Driskill) of New Castle; 8 step grandchildren: Jeff (wife: Karen) Koger; Jerry (wife: Lorraine) Koger; Michael (wife: Amy) Wiley, Stephen Wiley (fiance: Ashley De Von); Adam (wife: Lisa) Wiley; Jennifer Wiley (special friend: Andy Wickman); Melissa (husband: Chad) Miller; Josh Miller; 6 great grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father in December 31, 1996; brother: Nicky June 9, 1995; son-in-law: Bruce Koger September 24, 1998; step great granddaughter: Lauren Wiley June 4, 2007.

Service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Charles Bell and Max James officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 PM Sunday, July 17. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blountsville Volunteer Fire Department or Henry County Ambulance with envelopes available at the funeral home.
