Robert L. McGrath

Robert L. McGrath, 70, of New Castle passed away on Friday August 2, 2024 at Stonebrooke in New Castle. He was born on February 7, 1954 in Buncombe County North Carolina to the late Robert Lawrance and Mary Francis McGrath.

Robert served in the United States Navy. He worked as a Correctional Sergeant and a Deputy Sherrif in Florida. He enjoyed scuba diving, sailing boats and especially loved playing golf. Robert was extremely intelligent and loved to talk, he had a true gift for conversation and gave the best advice. Roberts greatest pride and joy were his daughters, who he was profoundly proud of.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer McGrath and Katie (Lance Sample) McGrath; grandchildren, Paysen Pew, Jackson Pew, Adrian Sample and Wren Sample; special friends, Kevin and Nikki Melton, Joshua Pew and Matthew Lyall.
