Rochella J. (Silvers) Flynn, 72, of New Castle went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2011 following an extended illness. She was born March 30, 1939 in Bronston, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jessie Hubert and Maude Helen (Decker) Silvers.
She had worked in the dietary department at Henry County Memorial Hospital and later at Philco Ford in Connersville until 1976. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in New Castle for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had resided at Heritage House Convalescent Center for the past several years.
Her survivors include three children, Jesse (wife, Verna) Flynn of Mooreland, Rhonda (husband, Joe) Schetgen and Bruce (wife, Angie) Flynn, both of New Castle; five grandchildren, Mike (Misty) Schetgen, Amee (husband, Rich) Gregory, Josh, Jared, and Saydi Flynn, all of New Castle; seven great grandchildren; Morgan, Jenna, Owen and Hope Gregory, Ottis and Olivia Schetgen, and Makayla Flynn, all of New Castle; a special niece, Melissa Foster of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Flynn in 2003, and a sister and her husband, Sue and Kenny Foster.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Donnie Silvers officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
