Roger D. Massengale, age 52, of Hendersonville, Tennessee died unexpectedly in his home. Although he was in poor health, death was unexpected. He was born October 28, 1956 in New Castle, the son of Eddie C. and Wilma J. (Royer) Massengale.
He was a graduate of Blue River Valley High School with the class of 1975. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He owned and operated Massengale’s Wood Carving.
Survivors include his mother: Wilma Massengale of New Castle; two sons: Jason (wife: Heather) of Aubrey, TX and Timothy (wife: Tassanee) of Sanger, TX; two grandchildren: Austin and Addison of Aubrey, TX; a sister: Jo Anne Altom of Richmond; a brother: Jerry (wife: Sue) Massengale of Sparta, TN; a niece: Kimberly Altom; a nephew: Jayme Altom both of Richmond; two great nephews: Brentyn Cones of Richmond and Drew Altom of Murfreesboro, TN; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Eddie Massengale.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Thomas Current officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
