Roger A. Shore, 62, a resident of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 20, 1954 in Rushville to Jack Shore of Knightstown and the late Anita (Caudill) Shore.
Roger was a 1972 graduate of Knightstown High School and a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned his degrees in economics and political science. He was employed as a loan officer at American Mortgage Co. for many years. Roger was also a realtor and loan officer for F.C. Tucker in Indianapolis. A member of Local 103 Operating Engineers, he enjoyed playing guitar, blues music and bicycling. Roger was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved vacationing in Key West. He was an avid North Carolina style barbequer and loved to make ribs and pulled pork
In addition to his father, survivors include his wife of 32 years: Cindy (Howard) Shore; one niece; several aunts, uncles & cousins and his beloved Sheltie, Jock.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother and his maternal grandparents: Charlie and Ida Caudill.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
