Romie Littleton, 73, of Knightstown passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 3, 1940 in Olive Hill, KY the son of Ira and Geneva (Gilliam) Littleton.
He retired from Ingersoll Steel (now Outo Kumpu) in 2006 after 46 years of service. He had previously worked at Jacquil Casket Company and Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home, both in Knightstown. He had also ran a gas station in Knightstown. He was a member of Knightstown UAW Local and had attended a Baptist Church in Olive Hill, KY. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, hunting, motorcycle riding, NASCAR races and IU Basketball games.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Phyllis (Thompson) Littleton, whom he married November 30, 1968; six children: Sandra (Brian) Wilburn of Olive Hill, KY, Nova Anderson of Thorntown, Romie, Jr. (Laura) Littleton of Knightstown, Marshelle (Raymond) Sims of Knightstown, Timothy (Emily) Littleton of Brownsburg and Rodney (Diana) Littleton of Knightstown; 15 grandchildren: Rex, Travis, Jason, Michael, Morgan, Macey, Kayla, Kendall, Chris, Tiffany, Devan, Jodi, Candance, Dustin and Tyler; 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Louise Jordan and Patti Lowe both of Olive Hill, KY; a brother: Elwood Littleton of FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Jodi Littleton and a brother: Jackie Littleton.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Romie at
