Ronald S. Denney

Ronald S. “Ronnie” Denney, 63, a resident of Shirley went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born April 25, 1953 in New Castle to the late Larson and Vera Marie (Rhodes) Denney.

Ronnie had been employed as an EMT for Estell’s Ambulance Service in Shirley. He attended Shirley Gospel Mission and enjoyed watching old movies and playing Solitaire. Ronnie also loved reminiscing about the good ol’ days as well as decorating for Christmas.

Survivors include two children: Tara Denney (Julie Lewis) of Frankfort, KY and Joshua (Jessica) Denney of Anderson; three grandchildren: Alyssa, Hunter and Rachel Denney; a brother: David (Kay) Denney of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Billy Joe Denney.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Charlie Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
