Ronald Hahne, 86, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Henry Community Hospital. He was born April 14, 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Irvin and Eileen (Rutledge) Hahne.
Ronald retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service, most recently working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a photographer and took Air Force research pictures. Ronald also worked with NASA to design space suits for astronauts. He enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, hunting and collecting guns. He felt blessed to have two families after marrying Carolyn.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hahne; daughters, Ronda Hahne of California, and Greta Hahne of Colorado; son, Matthew Hahne of Colorado; one grandchild; twin brother, Donald Hahne of Texas; step-daughter, Paula (Steve) Arnett of New Castle; step-son, Rick (Judy) Strawbridge of Ohio; step-grandchildren, Taylor (Kyle) Phegley and Kendall Arnett; step-great grandchildren, Allister Phegley and Julian Phegley; sister-in-laws, Marcia England and Vicki (John) Moles; very close friend, Richard Williams.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mark Hahne and a brother, Warren Hahne.
There will be no public services. Burial will be South Mound West Lawn Cemetery, Veterans’ Cemetery at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. You may express condolences or share a memory of Ronald at
